10 Reasons I Hated Working in Retail.

For the past 4 years I have either worked part-time in a clothes store or full time slaving away. I really don't think I enjoyed one moment of it. Although I met some amazing people whilst working there,  I really don't think I will be going back any time soon.

Dont get me wrong, any job is better then no job but i think I experienced some of the most boring shifts of anybodies life.

For the recored I worked in 2 clothes stores and both of them were as bad as each other. So heres a list of a few things that made working in retail hell.

1. Customers who come in at @ 2 minutes to the close of the store, stay in the store for 20 minutes after we should of shut and then still don't buy anything. (I mean I don't want to go home. Im just here because I like working extra time and not getting payed for it?!?!?!)
2. Having no customers come into your store all day and still been made by your boss to look busy even though everything has been done.
3. Finger spacing - For those of you who don't know, some stores like to have each item of clothing 1 or 2 finger space apart from each other.
4. Re-Finger spacing - This is due to the fact after making everything look tidy just one customer comes in and destroys all of your hard work.
5. Minimum wage - Retail is not a very well payed job and usually pays you peanuts.
6. Customers - Thinking that "customers are ALWAYS right". However, this is WRONG. Im ALWAYS RIGHT and no one else is ;) So take that into consideration if you are ever in a store I work in.
7. Working over the holidays - this year was my first christmas in 4 years I didn't have to work. It was heaven.
8. Been made to do the same job every day. (If you want a job with a sense of achievement retail is not for you) Most jobs you do have to be re-done the next day.
9. One of the worst things I hated, was working on sale days whilst customers are going through the rails and practically throwing them on the floor and having to pick them back up every 5 minutes.
10. Been asked for a size or a different colour in a top and telling the customer ( after checking yourself in the back) that we don't have it. Then immediately after the same customer asks another staff member for the same size or colour of the same top. (I mean as if we would lie to them :/ )

This is just a small few things I used to hate about retail. So those of you who have been there will know what I'm talking about and this is a warning to you who don't.

So if you are thinking about changing your job for something new. DO NOT choose this.

I may have just discovered, maybe the best movie EVERRRRRR.

Just because it stars Rihanna.

So the movie is called Battleship and is set for release around April or May of this year (2012). Not long to go. 

Whilst flicking through YouTube I found a movie trailer that looked pretty interesting. Now i'm sure allot of you guys have already heard about this movie but I thought I would bring it to the attention of those of you who haven't.

From what I can find out. Battleship is going to be "an epic scaled action-adventure movie" based on a fleet of ships that are forced to fight against an armada of unknown origins in order to put a stop to their destructive goals. The movie revolves around a fight to save the earth. Along with the major celebrity cast and crew, Battleship also comes from the creators of Transformers, one of the biggest selling movie franchises ever.

So, How Many People Hate Reading the Same Old Stuff on Facebook or Twitter?

Personally. I cant stand it. Facebook has to be the number one spot for this to happen. However, I still have to have it. You always get the same old people posting the same old thing as the previous 50 people on your time line. I cantttt stand it...

Has it really come to the a point where there is so much media and sooo much social networking going on that no one can post something original? In fact, me posting this now makes me realise that someone will have posted something similar already.

When I started writing this blog I had a huge list of examples of things that annoy me. (and i'm sure annoy others too). So, I started to write them down and remembered a great youtube video that sums it all up in one. This video comes from the guy who kind of got me interested in blogging and has some really funny and creative vloggs on his Youtube channel. This user is swoozie06 and a link to his channel is below. After watching this video, go ahead and watch the others. This guy is genious. His videos are really well put together and are extremely interesting to watch. So afterwards subscribe to his channel.

So im glad I got that off my chest....With a little help from swoozie06 for summing it up for me. Hopefully now my Facebook wall won't be so full of the same boring posts.
